Greg Fontenot from The Woodlands, TX and Tracy Rapp from Memphis, TN Win Regional Chicago Event In Second Annual
Simply Manischewitz Kosher Cook-Off

Greg and Tracy will compete in the New York City finals event for the chance to win a $25,000 grand prize package including a state-of-the-art GE Profile kitchen, cash and more.
Secaucus, NJ (November 2007)Manischewitz today announced that Greg Fontenot from The Woodlands, TX and Tracy Rapp from Memphis, TN are the two winners in the Chicago regional Second Annual Simply Manischewitz Cook-Off. Greg and Tracy displayed incredible cooking skills in a LIVE cooking competition that was held at Macy's Culinary Center (111 North State Street, Chicago) this past Thursday.
Both contestants were "excited and honored" to have won this regional event. Greg said, "my inspiration for winning is my son. He sent me to Chicago with a good luck card that proved to bring me success in this competition. Since he seems to be my lucky charm, I am bringing him with me to New York City!" Tracy said, "Manischewitz products have been a staple in my family for as long as I can remember, so I am extremely privileged to have the chance to become the grand prize winner and to become the new face of the brand."

In addition to the Chicago market LIVE cooking competition, two other regional events will take place in Philadelphia (11/29) and San Francisco (12/20). All winning recipes are based on the following criteria: taste, 50%; ease of preparation, 20%; appearance, 15%; and originality, 15%.
